Simple text changes
Step What you do What you get
1

Please click on the link playground (the best way is to open a new window of your browser to enable another look at this manual from time to time). The page "playground" is shown. It might already include content from other people.
2

Click on the button "Edit page" in the menu on the right side or at the end of the page. A new page is shown. It contains the content of the "playgound" in a so-called edit box, which enables you to add or edit some content.
3

Do some changes and click on "Preview". The edit box is shown again followed by a preview of the page with your changes as it will look like after you have saved it.
4

Add some more changes if you wish to and click on "Save page". The article is now saved with the changes made by you and will be shown to all future users just like you see it now.

Links and new pages
Step What you do What you get
1

Click on "Edit page" once more and add some text in double square brackets, e.g.: [[enzyme]]. This creates a link within the Flexikon. The preview shows a red link to the page enzyme.
2

You do want to link to the article about "enzymes" but wish to use another word in the text? Just type in the following: [[enzyme|biochemical catalysts]] "Hydrolases are biochemical catalysts (...)"
3

Now try creating a link to a non-existing page:
[[nothing there]]
This link will be shown in pink and can be clicked on: nothing there
4

Click on the pink link to edit the new page. The new page is shown in the „edit“ mode. It contains an empty text field (the edit box) waiting for your content.
